Here is a small selection of some of Bill's fieldwork sketches made in northern Queensland along Leichhardt's route. Various campsites were found and some sketches made. Many of Leichhardt's campsite areas could still be located, from his remarkable journal, and much of the scenery is little-changed from 1844-45.
